Boxer Lite App Reviews

A great email client

This is the best email client Ive found and Ive been looking for a while!!

Best.....

Bye,bye, outlook. This is the best.

Great GUI, Notifications Weak?

I really like Boxer, since it was easy to sync up with the email sent to my website. The functionality to archive/move messages is also really helpful. I just wish that the notifications would work more seamlessly. It only seems to update how many messages are waiting after Ive opened the app, which is a bit too late. Id prefer that the number of waiting messages update in the background. Other than this, Im very happy with Boxer. Superior to the Gmail app, FAR superior to the Yahoo! app.

Best replacement for Mailbox!

I switched to Boxer once Mailbox was discontinued. Very happy.

Great email app

Better than gmail official app. Swipe actions are great. Wish I could customize the swipe more e.g throwing email to a specific folder, etc. but great app overall and free too!

Easy to mark as read

The is the best and fastest mail client I have found that lets me mark my messages as read with a simple swipe. Really user friendly!

Continues to be the best

... This email app continues to deliver. I keep trying others but always come back to Boxer. Best email app by far!

Not getting notifications

I have notifications enabled and Im not getting any. Besides that this app worked very well, yes past tense. Moved back to that dreadful gmail.

Replacement for Dropboxs Mail App

All of the other email apps just display too much information on the lock screen when a notification comes up. Other apps would display the subject line and the a snippet-- I could never absorb that much info. Boxer just displays the subject line in the notifications and thats all I want. Some of the features are a teeny bit rough (swipe to delete). I dont like how I cant swipe multiple items to delete. Also, I dont know why, but if you double-tab the home button to look at all your apps, your current email open in Boxer gets "locked" and you cant see the snapshot of the email while youre browsing your other open apps. Sometimes I see a deal in my email and I want to open my browser to research. But since the email locks, I forget exactly what Im looking for. Again, minor things.

Easy to use

Easy to set up and use.

Almost there

Some nice features beyond apple mail but I really need mass deletion. Contacts didnt sync. Fix those and its 5 star app.

Freezes on "Congratulations!" SaneLater screen

Boxer looks good but when I tell it "yes, sign me up for sanelater" it gets stuck and no buttons work. I have to force the app to quit. :( I want to use SaneLater.

iPad Pro support when???

The iPad Pro has been out for awhile now and still no support for the better resolution and keyboard? Come on. Whats the hold-up?

Boxer

I have been using Boxer for several months now. The way it displays my emails is visually appealing, clear, and well-organized. It is a nice, simple, uncluttered site.

Nice

Very nice

Send Away

An absolute deal breaker for me with email apps / interfaces is the "send away / come back later" feature. Ive been in this app for 10 minutes now and cannot find it. So, either it doesnt exist or its WAY to tough to find. Without this functionality, I might as well just use the native email app, which is about a 2.5-3 star app. So, Im being a tad generous giving this a 3. If the feature is added, this app definitely has potential.

Good app! Some caveats.

Like many others, I was searching for a replacement for Mailbox when it was shut down. I tried Spark, but it had way too many features, a cluttered interface, and some inexplicable glitches like hiding content in emails sent from listservs. I like this app much better. Boxer has a clean, simple interface, much like Mailbox did. Caveats: no "snoozing", only a "to do" list. Also, theres currently no way to have the badge number display the total emails in your inbox rather than unread emails. Also, you cant see any folders you had set up previously. And (nitpicking), Im not crazy about the big circles with the email senders initial next to each email. I think it looks cluttered and is a waste of space. Why are they all different colors (or shades of blue if you choose that option)? Unless the colors/ shades mean something, dont make them different. UX 101. Anyway, good mail app! I can deal with little annoyances.

Great, but notifications dont work

It could be my email, but I cannot get notifications to work. I would honestly buy the paid version if they worked.

Love it

Wanted an app for gmail that made archiving AND trashing easy w/ a swipe, and this app does that! Its well organized and easy to use, and is integrated w other cloud apps.

Not much here

since mail handling is ordinary, calendar is awful (lacking real monthly view), and you have to pay for more than one email account
